Strengthening Families and Communities: April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month
During the month of April, our focus is on the many opportunities for communities across the country to keep children safe, to provide the support families need to stay together, and to raise children to become happy, secure and stable adults. Blue pinwheels are the new symbol for the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Place a pinwheel — or more than one! — in your garden or yard to show you support efforts to strengthen families and to prevent abuse and neglect in South Carolina! Making a pinwheel is a fun activity for children, too!
Go to our website at www.paofsc.org for a template for making a pinwheel and also for a coloring sheet of a pinwheel. How many pinwheels can we get in motion by April 30th?
